Seanie on the barrow, carrying stone from inside the boundary wall to the area above the eastern zig-zag where we were building five steps to make the ascent that bit easier.
Janis did most of the digging as well as reading the lie of the slope giving a most pleasing and 'tasty' feel!
As you can see,he is the shy one.
You are the judges as to how good the end result is - tell us how you find the experience and if things are better because of the work.
We ferried in some barrow loads of wood chippings as well, to cover and 'bed in' the stones we laid.More of that work will be done tomorrow,Wednesday, sore bodies notwithstanding!
We will also be spreading mulch on the upper tracks after first raking away debris on the tracks.
We are grateful to the former Borough Council employees for the mulch. Thanks also to Bernie for ferrying the tools to the wood early in the morning and for giving me a lift from the village.
