First day back at work for both Joe Burke and I after the hols!A good dry, mild morning it was too.We went walkabout to clear the trackways of debris and fallen trees/saplings.All walks are now OPEN and free of FLOOD WATER but trees are still down but can be stepped over with care. These we will cut and remove asap!
A word about the 'bridge' of sticks you see here on the western zig-zag descent to the river side: all are encouraged to walk on these in wet conditions underfoot, and avoid walking on the inside which in wet conditions can make for mud and very slippery going!Try it!
All wood and branches cut today we moved to the side but care is still needed as the weather is uncertain and more trees may fall in the next few days - so be AWARE,be CAREFUL and enjoy your walks.
A reminder to people who bring dogs to the Rock: the dogs are your responsibility;young and untrained dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times to safeguard other walkers and especially children - PLEASE oblige!
