The May weekend is upon us and if you find yourself in Clonmel there are walks a plenty to take, within the Old Town as well as on the perimeter.
For instance if you start in Irishtown you can take in a walk along the river bank by walking Irishtown Upper to the lights, turn left over the Convent Bridge, down the steps on your left at the Bridge, walk the river bank on the Green taking in what the view has to offer, making your way to the steps midway along the field boundary wall
to Green Lane.
The Rock was quiet today but nature was abroad; heard the Buzzards but did not see them;saw a Kestrel in wondrous plumage on a tree branch and after in flight while a Grey Squirrel joined me at the Picnic Table before skimming off into the tree line. All in a day's work!
