A large tree is blocking the track to the river as of today.Earlier we cleared four other trees that were down.Given the gusting weather at the moment extreme caution is urged if walking at the Rock - confine yourself to the Green Walk if at all possible.We will be on site again tomorrow to check the walks and will Blog later with updates.
Slippery conditions prevail at the Trailhead and on ALL descents stout,non-slip shoes,boots or wellies should be worn.
Use a stick if possible,take one at the Trailhead & return.

The Bridge?What of it?While we have been beavering away at the Rock,Clonmel was undergoing a seismic
makeover along the river with the Flood Scheme works from 2007 to 2012.This bridge,facing Old Lane on Suir Island was stripped down to the arches, and extended on both sides with concrete,reinforced beams.
