As of this morning all walks were open at the Rock and some walkers were out,as I was myself, but CAUTION is urged as this afternoon is pure wild with strong gusts.
Small branches were everywhere strewn on the tracks and no doubt more will join them over the next few days - be prepared and if in doubt stay home!
Many examples of Fungi in evidence,as in photo over, keep your eyes peeled and you will be amazed!
As I walked west along the river track the striking sight of a Buzzard,
in full winter plumage, appeared above the tree line, gliding effortlessly in the air currents.
Carpets of leaves cover many of the tracks but be wary as they cover exposed roots which can be extremely slippery in the wet conditions prevailing.
This is the weather for BOOTS,wear and maintain them.
Happy Christmas to all our walkers - have a good one!
